Inviting family takes about thirty seconds. Here's exactly how it works.
Send an invite
- Sign in at app.ourcaringcircle.com and open the circle you want to invite to.
- Tap or click the Invite member button (it appears in the members section of your circle).
- Enter the family member's email address. You can add a short personal note — optional, but it helps the recipient know what they're being invited to.
- Tap Send. They'll receive an email with a join link.
- When they click the link, they'll set up their account (or sign in if they already have one) and join your circle automatically.
What they can do once they're in
New members can claim tasks, see the shared calendar, and respond to appointments right away. They show up in the member list, and the rest of the circle is notified that they joined.
If you're the circle admin, you can change a member's role or remove them from the member list at any time. Members can also leave a circle on their own from their account settings.
Member limits by plan
How many people you can invite depends on which plan the circle is on:
- Free (Circle Basic): up to 3 members per circle
- Circle Essentials ($12/mo): up to 8 members per circle
- Add-on circles ($6.99/mo each): 8 members per circle, same as your primary Essentials circle
If you're on the Free plan and need to invite more people, you can upgrade in-app — your existing members stay as they are. No one gets kicked out when limits change.
Common issues
They didn't get the email
Most often it's in the spam folder. Have them search their email for ourcaringcircle.com or check Promotions. If it's truly missing, just resend from the same screen — invites can be sent multiple times.
They can't accept the invite
The most common cause is mismatched emails — they signed up using a different address than the one you sent the invite to. Cancel the existing invite and send a new one to the email they actually use.
The invite link expired
Invitations stay valid for 14 days. After that, send a fresh invite from the circle's member screen.
